Aditya Jain

Hi, I'm Aditya.

I'm a developer at Rogers, based in Mississauga. Outside of work I build small things for myself: an app for my Spotify Car Thing, a Firefox new-tab page, a game mod, and a date tracker. Some of them are below.

This website. Pages are prerendered at build time and served from a Cloudflare Worker, which also runs the redirects, the holiday calendar feed and the sign-in for the date tracker.

Atlas Journeys

My own take on Wanderlog. Plans trips day by day with routes between stops, reservations and a split budget, works offline, syncs live and shares by link.

Other things I've made

Front-end developer with 5+ years building and owning the customer-facing e-commerce experience for tsc.ca, the Rogers-owned national retailer with about 800K monthly visits. I take features from Figma to production on my own, and work with an AI-first development workflow.

Experience

  1. .NET & Front-End Developer · Rogers Communications · TSC (tsc.ca)

    May 2021 – Present
    • One of two front-end developers for tsc.ca. I own features end to end, from Figma mocks to production, shipping a major feature and 2–4 enhancements every sprint.
    • Migrated the entire legacy Angular front end to React and TypeScript, including the shopping bag, My Account and the live TV schedule, which cut bundle size, load times and defects.
    • Redesigned the Algolia-powered product search page, the site’s main search, as part of a customer retention push that increased add-to-cart rates.
    • Built front-end features for the TSC Marketplace, which lets hundreds of approved third-party vendors sell thousands of products on tsc.ca.
    • Wrote custom Contentful plugins so the content team can configure every part of site components and publish on demand, instead of waiting for an end-of-sprint deployment.
    • Built reusable, screen-reader-tested React, TypeScript and Tailwind components used across the whole site.
    • Fixed dozens of Lighthouse performance findings with lazy loading, image compression and code splitting. The lazy-loading work was recognized by the business team.
    • Shortened PR review cycles by building to SonarQube and internal best-practice standards, and brought AI coding assistants into daily development.
    • Mentor and onboard new developers, represent front end in sprint planning, lead projects independently, and maintain C#/.NET services such as internal gift card tools.
  2. Developer (Co-op) · Royal Bank of Canada

    May – Aug 2019
    • Built REST APIs in C# and .NET Core, and reusable API templates that standardized backend patterns and cut duplicated code across the team.
  3. Technical Analyst (Co-op) · Royal Bank of Canada

    May – Aug 2017
    • Built a Java webhook framework that automated manual CI steps, and rewrote the team’s technical documentation to speed up onboarding.
